Project pricing

Catch-Up and Cleanup Bookkeeping

Cleanup pricing depends on how far behind the books are and how much correction is required.

General Planning Ranges

  • Small cleanup projects start around $300
  • One to three months behind: commonly $300–$700
  • Four to six months behind: commonly $650–$1,400
  • Seven to twelve months behind: commonly $1,200–$2,500
  • Multiple years or substantially inaccurate records: custom quote

The lower end generally applies when statements and reports are complete, transaction volume is manageable, and the existing bookkeeping is reasonably organized.

Pricing may be higher when the project involves:

  • Numerous bank or credit-card accounts
  • Missing statements or source documents
  • Unreconciled prior periods
  • Payroll or sales-clearing discrepancies
  • Incorrect accounts-payable or accounts-receivable balances
  • Point-of-sale reports that do not match deposits
  • Duplicate or incorrectly entered transactions
  • Inventory or cost-of-goods-sold corrections
  • QuantumMX and QuickBooks discrepancies
  • Incomplete work-order billing
  • Multiple business entities
  • Work left incomplete by a previous bookkeeper

A written project quote will be provided before cleanup work begins.
